AARP members can visit the Denver Botanic Gardens are FREE on Thursday. Sept. 13. AARP members must present their cards to get the deal and space is limited to the first 8,000 people who qualify. FREE Film at Denver Botanical Gardens Sept. 5
On Wednesday Sept. 5 you can catch an installment of Chipolte restaurant's Sustainable Food Film Series at Denver Botanic Gardens. FREE! (Although donations are welcome). The first movie in the the series, Truck Farm will be screened at 6PM. Truck Farm tells the story of a new generation of quirky urban farmers. Viewers are trucked across New York to see the city's funkiest urban farms, and to find out if America's largest city can learn to feed itself. Blending serious exposition with serious silliness, Truck Farm entreats viewers to ponder the future of urban farming, and to consider whether sustainability needs a dose of whimsy to be truly sustainable. Denver Museum of Nature & Science is FREE on Sunday April 17. Free admission applies to the museum only. Separate admission fees to Phipps IMAX® Theater and Gates Planetarium remain in effect during free days. Free admission applies to Colorado residents only, so bring ID.
