Untitled #33 - Pledge @ Denver Art Museum Jan. 28

 

With most of my New Year's resolutions already discarded like the half dozen tattered candy wrappers under my desk, I am psyched to attend DAM's Untitled, Pledge, from 6-10PM on Jan. 28. In between cocktails and hors d'oeuvres I  will clamber into the Confession Booth to record a new Pledge to make peace with my squirrels and not make my friends listen to my collection of Captain Beefheart albums.  If it makes me nervous to record such flimsy promises on video, I will climb to the African Art Gallery on the third floor and ritualistically etch my pledge on a piece of paper -- which will be released into the universe. After a few more noshes and cocktails,  In between I will enjoy local bands 200 Million Years, along with Bonnie and the Beard,, who will be performing in the Duncan Pavilion. A visit to DJ Johnny D  in the atrium entrance also will be necessary, before the night is over. I swear. Untitled events are included in general Museum admission - about $10. Students presenting valid IDs receive 2-for-1 general admission when tickets are purchased on site. Cash bar.
