Now in its 20th year The Park People’s tree distribution program — Denver Digs Trees — is now taking applications for its spring tree distribution. The application deadline is February 15, and you can pick up your tree on April 16. Remember, these ttrees are strictly for planting along the street (in the public right-of-way),
not on private property. If you want a private property tree, the group offers a fall yard tree program. The trees are only $25 each (Trees this size usually sell for $100+) and FREE to residents in target neighborhoods.“Treeships” are available for those with financial hardship. This year's target neighborhoods are: Athmar Park, Baker, Barnum, Barnum West, Chaffee Park, Clayton, Cole, Elyria-Swansea, Five Points, Globeville, Green Valley Ranch, Jefferson Park, Lincoln Park, Montbello, Northeast Park Hill, Ruby Hill, Skyland, Sunnyside, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park, West Colfax, Westwood, and Whittier.
