Celebrate Colorado Astronomy Day FREE

Hopefully clear skies will prevail when we celebrate Colorado Astronomy Day with the Denver Astronomical Society, on Saturday evening, Oct. 16, at historic Chamberlin Observatory (in Observatory Park, E. Warren Ave. & S. Fillmore St.) This event is FREE. DAS members will set up their telescopes for public observing of the night sky on the south lawn, and operate DU’s 116-year-old Clark-Saegmuller telescope for public observing of the moon and Jupiter, as well as stars and star clusters. Don't forget that Public Nights are held each Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 8:30PM, in the Observatory, with lectures and viewing. Reservations required; Adults $3, Kids $2. Info/reservations for public nights at: www.denverastro.org.
