Old House Society Sidwalk Stroll June 11
Join Denver's Old House Society as they poke around part of the historic Country Club neighborhood to learn about architecture, newsworthy residents, building materials, and other interesting tidbits -- current and past. The sidewalk stroll, which is a guided walking tour, featuring Jules Jacques Benois Benedict homes, includes time to visit over light refreshments with the famous architect’s grandson, former “Denver Post” reporter Mike McPhee. The tour offers an inexpensive and fun Denver home, hearth and history course. Tickets are $15 each or $45 for all four remaining 2011 Sidewalk Strolls and can be purchased at King Soopers or City Market Stores at select locations or online by Credit Card. The tour will begin and end at Fourth Avenue and Gilpin Street. Participants will be put in small groups with a tour guide. The tour will last about one hour and will cover approximately a four-block area. Comfortable shoes are suggested. See website here.
