If you’re looking for an easy way to go green, try recycling your holiday tree by donating it to the Denver Treecycle Program. All trees donated to this program are turned into mulch, which is made available to Denver residents for free in the spring. As far as the trees go, all ornaments and decorations should be removed from them and please, no flocked trees. Pick up is as follows....manual and barrel customers should set out trees on your trash collection day near your normal set-out location for the two-week period of Jan. 3-14.
Dumpster customers need to set out their trees on Monday, January 3 or January 10, but don’t place trees in dumpsters. For info call 720-865-6810.
