Learn about Chinese tea farmers, their culture and enjoy the fruits of their labor FREE at Seven Cups teahouse on South Pearl, Jan. 19 at 7PM.
In March 2009, Seven Cups customer, Yvonne Russell, joined tea master Zhuping Hodge in her annual visit to a green tea growing region of China. As a tea merchant, Zhuping personally visits each of the farmers who grow and process the very teas that they sell at Seven Cups. According to Seven Cups, "the experience of traveling “home” with Zhuping followed a route that looks well beyond what one might see from the road. Yvonne is looking forward to sharing some of her photographs and introducing friends in places that fairly represent China’s long history and cultural depth. She will share stories of the tea masters who make many of Seven Cups teas."
Sounds interesting and yummy. The talk is on Wednesday, January 19, at 7 PM. As always, it is FREE. You do not need to make a reservation, but you may want to arrive early to get a good seat and a great pot of tea. Seven Cups tea house sells only Chinese teas, all available in pre-packaged ready-to-go bags. The shop also carries hand-crafted yixing tea pots, cups and other accessories. 1882 S.
