Don't Blink and Miss Untitled #36 Party at Denver Art Museum 4-30
Untitled evenings at the Denver Art Museum are full of live music, local theater, unusual tours, and off-beat art encounters. You never know what to expect. For Untitled #36 (Obsolete), what's new becomes old, in the blink of an eye. On Friday April 30 , Untitled is all about the fleeting nature of light, sound, and the moving image. The evening program includes: VJ Battle on DAM plaza co-produced with the Open Media Foundation, last chance to catch the Blink! exhibition, and interactive sound installations with Pendulum New Music. Untitled events are free with general museum admission from 6PM-10PM every final Friday of the month. Students with a valid ID receive two-for-one admission. Visit: http://www.collective..../ for more information. This a fun way to spend a Friday, open bar and free munchies. The rooftop views of Denver are epic. 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy., Denver,

Untitled #33 - Pledge @ Denver Art Museum Jan. 28
With most of my New Year's resolutions already discarded like the half dozen tattered candy wrappers under my desk, I am psyched to attend DAM's Untitled, Pledge, from 6-10PM on Jan. 28. In between cocktails and hors d'oeuvres I will clamber into the Confession Booth to record a new Pledge to make peace with my squirrels and not make my friends listen to my collection of Captain Beefheart albums. If it makes me nervous to record such flimsy promises on video, I will climb to the African Art Gallery on the third floor and ritualistically etch my pledge on a piece of paper -- which will be released into the universe. After a few more noshes and cocktails, In between I will enjoy local bands 200 Million Years, along with Bonnie and the Beard,, who will be performing in the Duncan Pavilion. A visit to DJ Johnny D in the atrium entrance also will be necessary, before the night is over. I swear. Untitled events are included in general Museum admission - about $10. Students presenting valid IDs receive 2-for-1 general admission when tickets are purchased on site. Cash bar.
