Four Mile Park's Pumpkin Festival Oct. 6-7

On Oct. 6 - 7 head to Denver's Four Mile Park for some autumn-y family fun. Nestled along the banks of Cherry Creek, this 12-acre historic park is full of old time buildings and fun, and their annual pumpkin festival is the icing on the cake.. FREE admission to the festival, but there are fees for some of the activities, and  you must pay for  pumpkins. There will be a very exciting county fair area where you can rummage through their costume bank and take an ‘old-timey’ photo in front of the Four Mile House, enter a pie eating contest or win something yummy in an old-fashioned cake walk, Activities include creating your very own scarescrow, visiting with the mountain men and Native Americans in the living history camp, ride in a horse-drawn wagon or stage coach and of course, eat, play and be merry.  There will be all kinds of historic games, crafts, music and goodies – truly something for everyone. Four Mile House, 715 South Forest St., DenverCO.
