Denver 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony 2012

Colorado Remembers – a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony and special tribute to first responders in the wake of the Colorado wildfires and the Aurora tragedy will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver. FREE admission. Ceremonies start at 11:30AM and should wrap up by 1:30PM.

 Civic Center EATS will be taking place concurrently in Civic Center Park's Central Promenade.

The event includes the Colorado National Guard, Taps and World Trade Center artifacts. Hosted by Governor John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan, the event will feature remarks from Denver Broncos' John Elway and live musical performances by Hazel Miller and the Colorado Children's Chorale. A special tribute will be made by Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates and Aurora Fire Chief Mike Garcia. Presented by The Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL) and The Denver Post
