Denver Mother's Day Plant Sales May 7-12

Don't miss all these great plant sales this weekend....just in time for Mother's Day! Most sales are CASH only.


Help unemployed and financially stressed Coloradans feed their horses by buying bedding plants, hanging baskets, vegetables and herbs from the nonprofit ColoradoHorsecare Foodbank's. Proceeds help CHF provide food grants and interim help to horse owners from Delta to New Mexico, helping to preserve the state’s equine heritage.
Mother's Day Plant Sale, May 11-13.. Three locations:

Memorial Park in Colorado Springs • 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
 
Heirloom tomatoes, herbs veggies, annuals, perennials and ground covers at the Front Range Organic Gardeners and The Herb Society of America Rocky Mountain Unit’s "Sale and Auction of Organic Veggie and Herb Plants, 9AM-1PM Saturday May 15. This is up in Boulder and well worth the drive. The National Wildlife Federation hosts a Native Plant Sale from 8AM-3PM on Saturday May 12. The plant sale features native plants, shrubs and grasses, plus  local garden and wildlife experts will be on hand to answer questions. Better yet,visitors can learn how to build a backyard habitat for bats, butterflies and birds. There also will be activities for children. 2995 Baseline Road, Boulder.303-786-8001.

Don't miss the Denver Botanic Gardens 2012 Plant Sale, featuring more than 85,000 plants including annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, native and water-smart plants and alpines. From 8:30AM to 6PM Friday May 11 and 8:30AM to 5PM Saturday may 12. FREE admission. Note: It pays to bring your own wheelbarrow or cart, as the few that are there are quickly taen.
