Help Denver Police ID the DU Groper

Denver police are asking for help in identifying a man suspected of fondling at least three women near the University of Denver over the past three months. Known as the "DU Groper" and the "Pioneer Pincher" around campus, the attacker's most recent efforts took place at 10:37PM on  Oct. 27, near South High Street and East Wesley Ave. Fortunately, the victim was able to elude her attacker. Earlier incidents happened on South High Street, and on South University Boulevard.

DU officials and police warn that the perpetrator's behavior could escalate into more violent crimes against women.

The suspect is white or Hispanic. He has brown, possibly curly, hair and is about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He may wear glasses. Police are warning DU area residents to be aware of their surroundings and stay out of dimly lit areas (which seems like a good idea at any rate). We also urge students to lock their doors and windows. Info on the crime? Contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Denver police say that you can remain anonymous when you call.
