Beekeeping Basics @Hudson Gardens Nov. 9

Join resident Bee Guardian Bob Shiflet on a fast-paced tour about honeybees and introductory beekeeping at  Hudson Gardens from 6-8PM  on Wednesday Nov. 9.  $15/member, $20/nonmember. The session covers a historical overview of honeybees and basic honeybee biology, including honeybee genetics and common pests and diseases. The course includes information on basic hive management systems, focusing on the elements of a typical hive and the tools and equipment that are required to start a hive. Finally, you'll be educated on local laws and ordinances that surround hobbyist beekeeping and information how to become a Hudson Gardens Beekeeper.
