Gleaning of Denver Project Needs Volunteers
Sign up for the Gleaning of Denver project to pick
Denver’s unharvested fruit and learn how to process
it, thanks to History Colorado
and Slow Food Denver. Many of Denver’s fruit trees and vines were planted by
original home owners, and the project is a fun way to
learn Denver history and eat local. This season’s grape harvest will take place
in late August or early September. Volunteer pickers will process the harvest
in Project Angel Heart’s kitchen, which receives a portion of the bounty. $15 per person. Registration/info: 303-866-4686. More info here.
