Cat Lovers Unite @ Denver Dumb Friends CatFest

Dog lovers shouldn’t have all the fun! The Dumb Friends League invites people to celebrate their love of cats on Saturday, July 9, from 10AM-3PM at CatFest. The region’s largest animal welfare organization will also launch a $10 feline adoption special at the event. That's right! Adoption fees will be reduced to $10 for all cats, 5 months and older, through July 31 at both shelter locations (Quebec Street and Castle Rock's Buddy Center).

In addition to the adoption special, CatFest 2011 will feature dozens of adoptable cats and kittens, clicker-training demonstrations and a purebred cat exhibition. Patrons may shop at the Meow Market, where more than two dozen vendors will be selling cat-related merchandise and food.  There will also be several free activities for children, including face painting, games, crafts, a magician, balloon animals and a bouncy house. Experts will be on-hand to offer free cat-related behavior and veterinary advice. Admission is FREE! More than 2,000 people are expected to attend, and the first 500 cat lovers will receive a goodie bag with cat-related products. For more information, visit ddfl.org/catfest, or call (303) 751-5772, Ext. 1378. The Dumb Friends League has two shelter locations: 2080 S. Quebec St. in Denver and the Buddy Center at 4556 Castleton Court in Castle Rock. For more information, visit ddfl.org.
