See the Stars @ Chamberlin Observatory 6-28

On June 28  the Denver Astronomical Society hosts an open house at the University of Denver's historic Chamberlin Observatory, 2930 East Warren Ave. The public night runs from 8:30-9:30PM and starts with an informative, multi-media astronomy presentation by a DAS lecturer. Presentations are illustrated with colorful computer graphics shows, videos, and/or whatever audio/visual method is appropriate. Astronomy presentations are designed for visitors of all ages and geared for novices. Guests also are treated to telescopic views of the moon, stars and star clusters, planets, galaxies, nebulae, etc., through Chamberlin's historic, 28-foot long, 20-inch aperture Alvan Clark-Saegmuller refracting telescope (weather permitting). Admission prices are only $2 for children and $3 for adults, payable at the observatory. Registration required.
