Recycle Discarded Plant Containers

Now that the frenzy of spring planting has subsided, you may find your yard littered with discarded plant containers? Keep in mind that Denver recycling doesn't accept them. But clean plastic plant pots are accepted for recycling at Garden Center of Colorado member stores. Local drop-off sites are City Floral Garden Center, 1440 Kearney St.; Groundcovers Greenhouse, 4301 E. Iliff Ave.Pots, carrying trays, four- and six-packs, hanging baskets and flats, as well as clean shrink wrap or greenhouse plastic will be crushed, baled and remanufactured as landscape products.
