Historic Hike About Rosedale/Harvard Gulch May 22
You will not want to miss this one! Did you know that back in the day the state orphanage was located near Harvard Gulch and the first man to ever be branded as “public enemy number one” lived near South Emerson Street and Illif Avenue? There are plenty of fun facts to learn in A Walk Around Rosedale/Harvard Gulch Park, a walking tour with local historian and author Phil Goodstein on Sunday, May 22. The tour runs from 11AM-1PM, starting from the benches in Harvard Gulch Park, near South Logan and Illif Ave. Goodstein, who knows Denver's history better than anyone, also leads Quality Hill, from 6:30-8:30PM on Wednesday, June 1, departing from the Zang Mansion, 709 Clarkson St. All outings are $10 per person unless noted, and are subject to weather. Contact Goodstein at 303-333-1095 for details.
