Veteran's Benefits Explained - April 30 Workshop
This isn't in the neighborhood, but is well worth the drive to Lafayette and the $10 fee if you know a military veteran in need. There will be a workshop at 9:15AM on Saturday April 30 for U.S. military veterans age 65+. The workshop will explain Veterans Administration long-term care benefits that can total up to $24,000 a year, tax-free, to help pay for assisted living, home care or nursing home expenses for qualifying individuals. Reservations are required and you can get them by calling 303-665-5851. It takes place at the Magnolia Restaurant, southeast corner of Arapahoe Rd. and 95th St., Lafayette. The $10 includes the workshop and breakfast.
