GREAT FREEBIES for Vets on Nov. 11

Boston’s Gourmet Pizza and Sports Bar would like to thank the military veterans in the Denver metro area for their service by offering them each a free pizza. Come in to either location on Veteran’s Day 2010 between 5-7 PM for your individual size, one-topping pizza. There are two locations in the South Metro area, one in Highlands Ranch (53 W. Centennial Blvd. at C-470 and Broadway) and one in Parker (19340 East Cottonwood Drive at C-470 and Parker Rd.) Must show proof of military service.

Veterans and active duty military members eat free at Applebee's on Nov. 11. You must show proof of military service. Veterans and active duty service people will have to choose items from a special, limited menu. Outback Steakhouse is offering veterans and active duty service members a free blooming onion appetizer and beverage on Nov. 11. Also, Chili's is offering veterans and active military duty personnel a free choice of one of six entrees on Nov. 11. Must show proof of military service.

Applebee’s is offering one of the following — Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, Bacon Cheeseburger, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Chicken Tenders Platter, 7 oz. House Sirloin, Double Crunch Shrimp or Oriental Chicken Salad for FREE. To get the deal you’ll need to show proof of military service: U.S. Uniform Services ID Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, a current Leave and Earnings statement, Veterans Organization Card (like VFW), a photograph or yourself in uniform or wear your uniform to the restaurant.

Famous Dave’s salutes Veterans with a number of specials nationwide. Both the Stapleton (7557 E 36th Avenue) and Thornton (16539 North Washington St.) locations are offering vets a FREE entree (up to $15 in value). Choose from ribs, sandwiches, fish and other barbecue classics. Be sure to bring I.D. to show your server for the deal.

Brides Across America is offering free wedding dresses to qualified military brides on Nov. 11 in Lakewood. Check out their website for more information. Dollar General is offering a 10 percent discount to veterans, active duty military, National Guard and Reserve, and their immediate families on Nov. 11 and Sam's Clubs will once again help veterans on Veterans Day by giving away 36,000 Hugo canes. Canes will be available Nov. 10-12 to U.S. military veterans in need of mobility assistance.
